How to embed videos in wordpress 5+
Hiya!!,
So its not rocket science anymore getting to upload; say a YOUTUBE video on wordpress.
Gone are those days when you have to struggle through remembering [embed] shortcodes or installing diverse plugins, just to get a youtube or vimeo e.t.c video to your wordpress site…
It used to be hectic… looking for the right plugin
but now….
In Wordpress 5+(I tested this using 5.0.3) you could just simply click on embed block and paste your video url…to embed videos, without shortcodes or plugin installation…
Now the part you’ve been waiting for…
HOW TO???
- logon to your admin dashboard(www.your-wordpress-url.domain/wp-admin)
- Click on post > Add New
3. Add title and click on ‘start writing or type / to choose a block’ section
4. CLick the (+) icon on that section
5. Click Embeds block
6. Click Youtube(you could click vimeo or any other embed video option also)
7. Copy yout youtube url and paste inside the youtube url box
8. Click Embed
and there you go..
Simple as ABC…
NO MORE [embed] SHORTCODES
NO MORE youtube PLUGINS
