If you found yourself here, You must have encountered this ugly SharePoint error. But hey!!! it’s not the end of life😅😅.

I searched through the internet, but couldn’t find any relevant solution. Let’s go straight to the point.

On Microsoft SharePoint Online document library, when you move files from one library to another (let’s say source and destination libraries), these files get deleted from the source library. Hence when you visit the recycle bin in the source library, you’ll find the files you’ve just moved.

So let’s say you have as many as ‘1000 files’ in the recycle bin in the source library and try to move more files, the ugly error: This Item might have been deleted, expired, or you might not have permission to view it. Contact the owner of this item for more information might occur.

So what do you do?

Simply just empty the recycle bin of the source document library, then try to move the files again to the destination library. This time, you shouldn’t see the ugly error! 😁
